To celebrate Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary next year, I am excited to have commissioned internationally renowned composer Donna McKevitt to write a musical setting of Jane Austen’s teenage poem ‘Ode to Pity’. This may be the first ever classical song setting of the writer’s words, and probably also the first contemporary music for square piano! It will feature in new recital programme ‘Sense & Musicality’ launching in 2025. We are now raising the funds to record and promote it!
